Our founder
Who is the person behind Staple Co?
STAPLE CO was founded by Vanessa, with the support of her family.
After working in education and journalism, she became increasingly curious about where clothing comes from, how it's made and why it felt so difficult to find timeless pieces that were both comfortable and aligned with her values.
What started as a personal search for better everyday clothing gradually evolved into STAPLE CO.
Today, the business remains independently owned, family supported and guided by the same simple philosophy: to create fewer, better pieces that people can't wait to wear again.

Vanessa spent years working in education, so teaching and sharing ideas have always come naturally. When STAPLE CO began, that part of her didn't disappear.
As we've learned more about sustainable fashion, fibres, manufacturing and certifications, we've felt an increasing responsibility to share that knowledge with others.
Because understanding our clothing changes the way we buy it.
